"The Greatest Game of Rugby Ever Played" - Wallabies Vs All Blacks, Sydney 2000
Просмотров 3,6 млн15 лет назад
At Sydney's Stadium Australia, in front of a world record 110,000 people, the Australian and New Zealand Rugby teams played what many have called "the greatest game of Rugby ever played". After just eight minutes the All Blacks were leading by an unbelievable 24 to 0. Miraculously, the Wallabies came back and were leading 35 to 34 when, in the dying moments of the game, the great All Black wing...

David Pocock Tackles Bryan Habana then Jerry Collins - Wallabies vs Barbarians, 2008/12/04

David Pocock tackles Bryan Habana then Jerry Collins during the Wallabies vs Barbarians game at Wembley Stadium *I changed the title and description from "chases down" to "tackles" because, as some have pointed out, Pocock started in front of Habana. Still, it's a pretty good effort for a Flanker. 2008/12/04
I am sure it was an incredible game, but can we stop with the best game ever, best player ever stuff? I am sure in the two hundred years of Rugby history there have been better games, let's enjoy watching it back, and look forward to the next "Greatest game ever!"
I love the game.

What an awesome comback from Australia and reply from NZ, the glory days of rugby
It realy was a great f***ing match. I love the australian team of late 90-early 00s... loads of magnificent players, plus Larkham & Gregan duo and Stirling Mortlock WITH HAIR... priceless.
Beautiful site watching him making a show of OGara
110000 is still the biggest crowd ever in Australian history for a rugby, cricket, league or football match
Tana and Chris Cullen were the dream team as I recall. One of them or both would score for ages.
Back when rugby used to be good
I went to this game and it was one of very few times my team has lost but I left satisfied, knowing I’d seen an all-time match.
I’m glad lomu got that try cause he let every try in
00:32 It's amazing that the only Wallaby ever capable of consistently taking Jonah Lomu to ground was Georgie Gregan. Half his size and about quarter of his weight
Pocock got hot in the head so much he became a Greenie
He was a brilliant player, nobody said he was smart
I DONT KNOW WHAT TEAM IM CHEERING FOR BUT THIS IS GREAT
This is the rugby answer to the Pittsburgh/Dallas Super Bowl games of the 70s. Heartstopping from start to finish.
Don't be ridiculous.
I remember this game started (for me) at 6am on a Saturday morning on Fox Sports World. I had only been interested in rugby for about a year, but I was able to watch this match live. Being a Wallaby fan, I hated to see NZ win...but the match itself was so fantastic that I ended up watching the replays, recording it, and forcing family to watch it with me. Truly, rugby of the gods.
Later on he propped the scrum by himself, scored a pushover try and drop kicked the conversion jogging back to halfway.
Incredible game.
Lifelong fanatical England supporter. But this game the greatest I ever saw. I reckon the 97 ABs my greatest ever national team but these teams.....little did we know how blessed we were to have Lomu, Cullen, Umaga, Larkham, Gregan, Little, Horan, in that generation. Do we really think the game is better now? Not me.
Rugby in Australia is on the wane, too many other sports compteting for a kid's interest.
Too many soft parents putting their child in Soccer
i thought union players were shocking tacklers in the present, but they were somehow even worse back then
Shocking? Worse? Compared to what?
i would say france NZ at the world cup...
Writing this in 2021 where rugby has become "Kick, chase, set-piece, contest, repeat". What I'd give for a game like this today.
Justin Marshall en route to the try line under his breath "Me oh my"
Great game. Please someone correct me if I am wrong but that ball it seems to me a rugby league ball.
The greatest rugby game ever played - according to the opinion of the winners
And not according to whingers 😊
Camsleze would beat him
Some great players amongst them. RIP Lomu
“This has been a magnificent comeback by the All Blacks”. They led for the majority of the game. Lol

Even in a four minute format this is diamond.
Both teams... a roll call of all time greats. Amazing to have so much ability so concentrated. And at this distance, the result is secondary to the performance.
Ja African players are the best

Greatest finisher of all time rip jonah
i cannot believe that I've seen motlock on these fields for more than 20yrs
George Gregan was a Legend, a thorn in the All Blacks side for years
The king of Croker park lol
2009 wasn't a good year for O'Gara. He also gave away the penalty for the Springbok test and series win in the second test for the British and Irish Lions.
Thanks for this vid. May i ask where do u think u will go when u die? U dont have to answer if u dont want to. Have a nice day.
As a kiwi this the guy I respected the most. Absolute machine, loved watching him play.
And now he is in the Australian Senate. What a legend.
Jonah who?
I remember the test well. Two excellent Rugby teams. Hated losing but it sure was 'edge of the seat' stuff.
R.I.P Jonah Lomu. You have and always will be the greatest of all time.😔😔😌😌
I was there, incredible atmosphere, first time in the stadium. The Aussies were written off after 10m; greatest comeback of all time. fitting Lomau scored the matchwinner - 30 great players
Honestly if rugby can be as great as this again, that would awesome
Amazing game alright good game to watch.
Say what u want ... Gordon is the best commentator
What a game!
Never ever get tired of watching this...
